Welcome to our course on teaching yoga to children and adolescents! This course is designed for anyone who wishes to bring the benefits of yoga into the lives of young people. Whether you are a parent or caregiver looking to develop your child's mindfulness, a certified yoga teacher wanting to expand your skillset, or an educator or therapist interested in incorporating yoga into your work, this course will provide you with the tools you need.

This training is certified and approved by Yoga Alliance under Yoga Alliance Continuing Education (YACEP). Meaning we fulfill all the quality and content requirements to guarantee a professional and internationally recognized Children and Teens Yoga Teacher Training. After completing the Continuing Education course you are eligible to register your course with Yoga Alliance if you are a registered 200hr Yoga Teacher. Registration with Yoga Alliance is optional & not required to begin teaching.
Welcome to our Yoga and Mindfulness teacher training immersion on the beautiful island of Bali. This course is designed for yoga teachers, primary and secondary school teachers, therapists, parents, or anyone who is passionate about sharing yoga and mindfulness with children and teens. Our program will cultivate your knowledge and understanding of children’s yoga, social-emotional learning, and creating resilient youth. You will leave this immersion with new techniques and tools to bring back to your students or children, as well as a renewed sense of joy for teaching. Over the next few days, you will learn from specialists in sound, cognitive behaviour therapy, anatomy and movement as well as nervous system coaching. On the final day, you will put your new skills into practice by visiting MTC and Sunrise School. You will also gain valuable insights into starting your own business teaching kids' yoga classes. Empowering children to love themselves body, mind, and soul is one of the most rewarding things you can do. By undertaking this immersion and teacher training into yoga and mindfulness for children and teens, you will have knowledge of the following areas:
Understand children’s mental, physical, social, and emotional development
Comprehend the physiology of stress and anxiety and how it affects childhood development
Understand the benefits of yoga and mindfulness for children and teens
Create your own lesson plans
Know the order in which to deliver content to keep children and teens engaged

Have the basic knowledge of kids’ yoga, and how yoga works!
Have a basic understanding of anatomy for children and teens growing bodies
Learn the developmental milestones and how yoga can support development
Learn the eight senses in the body and how yoga and mindfulness support sensory development
Learn student learning styles and behavioral management techniques
Learn a variety of mindful activities to include in your yoga lessons or to use as a one-off activity
How yoga supports teen anxiety
Become confident in creating change by learning step by step how to teach yoga to suit the developmental needs of your student’s ages 3 - 17 years
Have a clear understanding of the business and ethics of kids yoga and all administration that is needed to start your very own kids' yoga classes straight away!

You will start at 9 a.m. on the first day and finish at 5 p.m on the last day. Please note that this program is created in a way that executes various teaching strategies. Serenity Eco-Guesthouse and Yoga will intertwine common core Montessori methods (self-directed activity, hands-on learning, and collaborative play) as well as small group instruction.
