Daily Yoga & Meditation
Wake up and stroll over to the yoga shala where our monk Dada will guide you through morning meditation followed by Joe and Puspa's morning Vinyasa & Hatha yoga class. It's the perfect way to start the day. After breakfast, we hold a daily workshop/lecture and after lunch work on teaching skills, mantras, adjustments etc. At night we light the candles and practice a yin yoga class, helping you feel reconnected and relaxed before bed.
We have a brand new yoga shala in Canggu, Bali! You have the choice of sharing a 4 bedroom dorm (500 meters from main building - Serenity 1) or upgrade to a double room with upgrade fee US$ 10 per night . Jump in the 14-meter pool after yoga practice, have a traditional Balinese massage or take a 3-minute walk to the beach during free time.
A healthy and delicious vegetarian & vegan menu will be available. We make sure the food is sourced locally and doesn't travel long distances. In the morning you'll have the option of fruit, cereals, toast with avocado, fruit & veg juices, tea, and coffee. The food is based on an alkaline diet, staying away from most acidic food. If you need a detox you've come to the right place. We also cater for gluten free & lactose free diets upon request.
After breakfast, we will guide you through one of our many incredible workshops that go into great detail about certain yoga-related topics. We are particularly excited about our special guest teachers- Janice Liou's inversion workshops and Dada Vibha's Meditation & Philosophy workshops! Other workshops include Foundations in Yoga, Yoga Philosophy, Nutrition, Pranayama (breath work), Healing with Mantra Singing and Traditional Balinese Cultural excursion.
Early Bird price is available up to one month before the course starts and is $2600 USD which includes 24 nights accommodation, yoga teaching resources, free breakfast, a massage and airport pick up. Meet the JOGAYOGA
Joseph has devoted the last 8 years studying yoga, discovering that yoga can help to realise true happiness, inner peace and strength in day-to-day life. He initially studied Music and Chinese Medicine while balancing this with yoga practice to maintain a clear mind and reduce stress. He then travelled to India & Bali to study yoga and has now made Bali his home.
Exploring the art and science of yoga has given him enthusiasm for sharing the knowledge and physical practice to benefit all of us. We can find union with the source in many ways- yoga is just one way. His approach is fun, comprehensive and dynamic which enables people of all walks of life to participate. He believes that we are all teachers and students on this earth and can benefit greatly from sharing and learning from each other.
Ika Dewi is a qualified yoga teacher who was born in Bali Indonesia. Ika believes yoga is not only a physical exercise, and while she enjoys its physical benefits, yoga for her goes much deeper. She believes a consistent yoga practice creates harmony in the body, mind and heart and develops good habits which lead to a healthy and happy approach to life.
With her hands-on and caring teaching style, Ika designs her classes to allow students to explore their range of motion and capabilities in relation to each class’s focus. Her classes are both challenging and fun with an emphasis on physical alignment. She believes that yoga should be accessible to everyone and offers modifications to suit every student’s ability
Dada is an enlightened spiritual teacher inspired by the philosophy and teachings of Shrii Shrii Anandamurti, a Tantric Master, a philosopher, author, social reformer, humanitarian and spiritual leader. The basis of his teaching weaves continuity with the ancient spiritual science of Tantra. Dada was searching for spiritual answers since childhood and finally introduced to holistic practices of yoga pose, meditation and Tantra and Rajadhiraja Yoga in 1993. In 1999, after several years working in the corporate world, Dada’s strong vision for spirituality led him to a major turning point in his life when he decided to leave his job and immerse himself fully in a devoted path of yoga. He went on to pursue training in India as a sannyasin, senior yoga monk. From then, he spent most of his time teaching yoga and meditation in Taiwan and Australia and eventually returned to his native island of Bali, bringing his devotional work home.
Based in New York, Janice teaches an energizing, balanced Vinyasa flow with options for all levels. Having started practice at the age of 17, she has studied with a multitude of teachers, experiencing and learning how the physical practice of yoga can translate into practices of mental and emotional happiness or health. As a teacher, her goal is to facilitate the students' mind-body connection through breath and mindful movement, providing space for students to explore the inner-self on a deeper level. Her creative sequencing is designed to empower students.
Elena Smolnikova was born in Russia, Perm City in 1991. She started to go to aerobics at the age of 3. She was a professional rhythmic gymnastics from the age of 8 to 22, then she got the sporting rank to Candidate Master of Sports. Lena loves her job and is now giving stretching lessons for yoga students, CrossFit athletes, swimmers, surfers, dancers, and anyone who wants to improve flexibility and become healthier. She got her yoga teacher diploma (traditional Indian Hatha) in 2017 and then moved to Bali to join the Joga Yoga training team, giving yoga and detailed stretching.
Yoga Alliance RYT 500 (Yoga)
Marylene is a Yoga Alliance RYT-500 yoga teacher who specializes in yoga anatomy, therapeutic applications of yoga, corporate yoga and yoga for depression, stress, and anxiety. Her passion for yoga took a new turn when she helped a friend overcome depression through yoga. Curious about what other benefits a holistic approach to yoga could bring. She devoted her time and energy to study the 8 limbs of yoga. Splitting her life between a successful international corporate career and teaching yoga, she perfectly understood how everyday demands can get in a way of a healthy body.
Todjon’s yoga practice is a mix of the various disciplines stemming from Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga, Jivamukti, Yin, Restorative, and Acro Yoga, as he practicing and studying it under the guidance of many well-respected teachers. He has a background in Sufi or tasawwuf spiritual practice since he was a kid before started his yoga journey in Jakarta 2012. Todjon’s class is often recognized by his students as soulful and spirited one combining asanas, meditation, philosophy and breathing practices. He always loves to share his teachings and passions of yoga through his travels.
